After a full day at work, coming to Kula for an evening sweat sesh is a huge sigh of relief. I love being able to arrive at the lovely inviting space and the cheery faces of the instructors. The hot classes are my favourite and it’s such a pleasure to work through the poses then be able to rest in meditation (and if you’re lucky, a song sung by Steph). It’s the best way to wind down for the evening.

Our team of expert teachers will guide you through. If you can, we suggest starting with Slow Flow or Yin with more time to work out where your arms and legs go.

Hello, I’m Kacey and I can’t wait to meet you. I’m a world traveller & corporate dropout turned yoga teacher, studio owner & mama of two.

I understand the daily stresses of over being over-committed with work and family commitments ~ and that’s why I love yoga.

Yoga makes me a better mum, wife and boss. It’s my chance to strengthen, stretch and smile. It’s my self-care ritual and my reset button.

I created Kula to share the power of yoga and mindfulness and in the process we’ve connected a community of like-minded people. I’ll look forward to seeing you at the studios or online.

FAQs

I’M A BEGINNER, I CAN’T EVEN TOUCH MY TOES! CAN I STILL PARTICIPATE?

Yes! All abilities are able to participate and enjoy the benefits of yoga. We provide modifications and variations in all classes to ensure all levels are catered for. Our goal is to ensure all participants enjoy the amazing benefits of yoga, even if they are a beginner, or an advanced student. If you’re a beginner, we also highly recommend our Yoga 101 Online Course on alignment and technique to complete at home alongside your Intro Pass for classes at the studio:

ARE ALL OF THE CLASSES HEATED?
Our classes range from a comfortable 25 to a balmy 35 degrees with specialised far infrared ray (FIR) heating panels for healthy heat. We encourage you to embrace the heat, it’s there to help. You can rest as much as you need to and of course coming to class hydrated and also rehydrating after class is key. If you’re concerned about being too hot please feel free to set up close to our sliding doors which is usually a little cooler.
WHAT IS YOUR MINIMUM AGE FOR PARTICIPATION?
14 is our minimum age however 14-16 year olds must be joined by their parent/guardian in the class with them. From the age of 17 students can attend solo. Please note that for insurance reasons no children can be left in the waiting area during our classes.
WHAT DO I NEED TO BRING AND WHAT SHOULD I WEAR?
Please bring a water bottle and towel. A towel is a necessity for our sweaty ‘hot’ classes and for our ‘yin’ classes to place over our bolsters. You are welcome to bring your own yoga mat, otherwise our mats are free for your first class and $1 to hire after that. We also have mats available to purchase if you’d prefer. There’s complimentary use of our props such as blocks and bolsters. Please wear something comfortable that allows a range of movement. Shorts or leggings, with an appropriate top are great options. No footwear required as we practice yoga barefoot.
WHERE ARE YOU LOCATED AND IS THERE PARKING?
We are located at Level 1, 259A Auburn Road Hawthorn. We are very close to the Auburn Road and Riversdale Road intersection. There is plenty of free street parking available in the surrounding area. We suggest arriving at least 10 minutes early to park, find the studio entrance and settle in as the door is locked when class starts and late arrivals won’t be able to enter.
WHAT IS YOUR CANCELLATION POLICY?
We highly recommend planning ahead and booking your classes online. Cancellations can be made up to 12 hours prior to your class commencing without any penalty. You can manage your bookings via the website or the Kula Yoga Australia app.
