Building a connection between like-minded individuals is something we’re passionate about at our yoga studio. “Kula” means community in the ancient and sacred language of Sanskrit. Not only do we provide locals from Hawthorn and Camberwell yoga classes, but we also provide them with a yoga studio where people can connect, share and grow. Our students come from all around the Boroondara area to sweat, play, learn and reach their health and fitness goals. Every day at Kula we come across individuals who have inspired us and continue to help shape our community; we wanted to share their stories with you. Read below to learn more.
Cher is one of our regular yogi’s and also a member of our Kula Tribe.
Here, she tells us about her journey…
I joined Kula Yoga seven months ago, and from then I have practiced almost everyday. I love it! I love the energy that comes from the yoga room, the teachers simply are awesome. I regret that I hadn’t started to learn yoga earlier. In the past, I have joined Gym many times, somehow, I always stopped going after a couple of months. But with yoga, I would be sad if I missed one day.
I love yoga because it not only works on the body, it also works on my mind, it makes me focused, calm, and kind to myself. I lost weight, looked healthy, and my two friends recently followed to me join Kula Tribe.
My goal this year is to make myself stronger and healthier. My favorite style of yoga at Kula is hot and power yoga. Every teacher is very different, yet all have high standards and a professional style.
I love Yoga!
