Part of being a strong community is the ability to evolve. In the 4 years since its founder Kacey opened the doors to Kula Yoga we’ve been blessed to have so many inspiring teachers come and go on their path through life.
Our team of teachers inspire us every day to delve deeper, to question ourselves, to listen to our bodies, to be truly present and to accept ourselves as we are. As teachers, every time we step into the yoga studio we learn as much as we teach, from our students and from ourselves.
There is no doubt that the foundation of being a great yoga teacher is being a great yoga student. ~ Rod Stryker
Our teaching team comes from all walks of life and from across the globe, bringing different experiences and inspiration into our beautiful studio.
Welcome to team Kula. We’d love to share a little about what inspires each of us:
I love practicing and sharing the stillness and quiet of yoga – to just be. Disconnection from distraction, unnecessary expectations and superficial comparisons with awareness of our beautiful breath. Yoga helps me find perspective, free from rules and ego. So I can simply and unapologetically be purely myself. To just be. ~ Mardi
YOGA for me is all about the journey, a journey within and a life changing path. It’s taken me further than I could have ever imagined, and taught me to follow my Bliss. ~ Joe
I teach because I love seeing the positive impact yoga has on peoples lives. Nothing makes my day more than when I see people begin to recognise their own innate strength and resilience. And it’s way you always get a lot of core with me! ~ Clare
I believe that Yoga is a detailed and sensitive observation of the simplest things; this observation creates an authentic connection to the self which offers great joy and healing. I enjoy helping and inspiring my students through teaching Yoga. ~ Anna
I love teaching yoga because it gives me the opportunity to give people time from their busy day to slow down. When we can connect our breath to movement we can begin to understand that there is much more in us then we thought possible. ~ John
Yoga holds me accountable– it keeps me honest with myself, helps cultivate deep awareness and encourages me to dis-identify with my thoughts. Through yoga, I have built incredible strength that has facilitated bold, conscious decisions and changes in my life. It’s an honor to offer the same opportunities to my students. ~ Ash
I love to practice and teach yoga for the ability to come home to your body in the moment. The peace, space and care that can be created and the ability to let everything that isn’t needed drop away. ~ Steph
Yoga has been a part of my life for over 10 years, and my practice has helped me grow stronger, more flexible and more courageous, mentally and physically. Yoga has taught me to find acceptance, ease and provided tools for my daily life to live with more presence, awareness, action and joy. Yoga inspires me to live each moment with more mindfulness and compassion. ~ Laura
The practice of yoga on and off the mat enables me to nourish my cells with love at the very deepest layer so I can unlock my full potential. Teaching yoga and sharing this goodness just makes sense, it’s love. ~ Sharon
Yoga is not just exercise; it’s a way of life and it changed mine. It relieved my anxiety, depression and insomnia and brought me greater empowerment, grace, self awareness and compassion. When you discover something so beautiful you feel passionately compelled to share it! ~ Emily
Yoga is my “me time”. I don’t see yoga as a form of exercise for the body rather exercise for the mind. Yoga allows me to completely let go of any thoughts that are racing round my mind and to focus on my breath and how it feels within my body. I believe yoga focuses on how each pose feels not about how it looks it has taught me to love my body from the inside out. If you feel good on the inside it will be reflected on the outside. ~ Lucy
Discovering yoga was like finding myself. When I step on the mat it just makes sense, the breath moves, the body responds, it’s the first time I’ve felt truly comfortable in my own skin. As a teacher, as a student, I just want to inspire everyone to know that feeling. ~ Andy
I was drawn to yoga for the physical benefits, but soon found value in the blissful mind-body connection that continuously inspires me to practice. I see the mat as a powerful source we can plug into, to spark a positive and healthy life. ~ Kacey
We love each and every day that we get the opportunity to inspire, guide, learn and connect with our community. After all, it’s our amazing community that make Kula Yoga what it is.
See you on your mats. Sweat, stretch & smile!
