A smile appeared on my face as I stepped in the door. There’s something about Contagious Enthusiam that makes me happy, and it’s not just the name of the place. It’s the team who ooze with friendliness and passion. It’s the space which is fresh and tranquil. It’s the anticipation of the treatment I’m about to enjoy to ease my aches and pains.

I had arrived for my myotherapy appointment at the Hampton clinic. I sipped on herbal tea in the waiting area as I filled in my form and enjoyed the calming vibe of the clinic.

So many health clinics feel… well, clinical. But Contagious Enthusiasm has creating a warm and welcoming environment. It almost has a yoga studio feel. Bliss.

I was let upstairs to my treatment room. The clinic not only houses a team of myotherapists – it has multiple modalities to offer a holistic approach to healing.

The therapists often work together with clients to give them the ultimate in care with naturopathy, clinical nutrition, remedial massage, reiki, clinical psychology, podiatry, and even beauty therapy on offer.

If you’re confused about the difference between massage and Myotherapy, you’re not alone.

My myotherapist Jackie explained to me that the main distinction is that they use more than a range of massage techniques, like trigger point therapy, to treat soft tissue pain and ailments.

Myotherapists have techniques in their toolbox such as dry needling, musculoskeletal alignment, cupping, muscle stretching and a range of rehab exercises in addition to their massage skills.

I left my treatment feeling freedom in my body, completely relaxed and I still had that smile on my face.

And they are definitely skilled. Thanks to Jackie I left my treatment feeling freedom in my body, completely relaxed and I still had that smile on my face. I’ll be back.

If you’re keen to experience it for yourself we have some special discount cards at reception at our Hampton studio. The are located less than 5 minutes from our yoga studio on Hampton Street.

I hope you enjoy it as much as I did!
