Building a connection between like-minded individuals is something we’re passionate about at our yoga studio. “Kula” means community in the ancient and sacred language of Sanskrit. Not only do we provide locals from Hawthorn and Camberwell yoga classes, but we also provide them with a yoga studio where people can connect, share and grow. Our students come from all around the Boroondara area to sweat, play, learn and reach their health and fitness goals. Every day at Kula we come across individuals who have inspired us and continue to help shape our community; we wanted to share their stories with you.
Name: Cameron (a regular Kula yogi who has just completed 120 days of his own yoga challenge)

K: Why do you practice yoga?
C: I have practiced Kryia Yoga and Kundalini based Hatha Yoga & Meditation for along time. In in the past 5 months have started a daily practice of Vinyasa Yoga at Kula and find it is really helping me get deeper into my body and expanding my presence more into the present moment, balancing & grounding my emotional/mental states and increasing my physical energy/strength/flexibility. Also it has helped stabilize the flow Kundalini bringing deeper states of ongoing Samhadi and stillness into my meditation practice.
K: What do you love about Kula Yoga?
C: The studio space is spacious and bright. I enjoy the different teaching style each teacher brings with their own unique character and angle on Vinyasa Yoga. The teachers are helpful and loverly & the studio is close to home which is handy!
