Hawthorn & Hampton Studios Reopening from Nov 9!

BOOK CLASSES HERE

Following the announcement from the government to allow the reopening of gyms & studios, we are excited to be reopening our Hawthorn & Hampton studio doors from Nov 9.

We encourage you to check in here for regular updates as the situation develops, which we will also communicate via email and social media (Instagram & Facebook)

Join Kula founder Kacey as she takes you through a tour of our studios in Hawthorn & Hampton, giving you a rundown of procedures and what to expect when you return to class. Please note the additional requirement of mandatory masks in studio.

When in the studio
  • Classes will be limited to 10 students with compulsory bookings required.
  • Hand sanitiser & appropriate cleaning products will be provided upon entry.
  • Social distancing floor markers will be present in both the reception & the studio.
  • You will be required to bring your own mat, props, towel & water bottle as our equipment will be temporarily unavailable for use. This includes our tea station.
  • There will be no hands on adjustments and the teacher will stay on their own yoga mat during class.
  • The studio will be open 10 minutes before each class and we kindly ask that you avoid lingering before and after your practice. This is to ensure we can maintain social distancing, reduce crossover between classes and allow sufficient time to thoroughly clean the studio.
Mandatory Masks
  • You will be required to wear your mask to your mat. If you become out of breath, or struggle to breathe, during your practice please remove the mask as needed.
  • After class you will need to ensure your mask is back on before packing up and leaving the studio.
  • If you have a medical reason to exempt you from wearing a mask please let your teacher know.
  • At this stage our teaching team will also be wearing masks while teaching classes unless they struggle to breathe and need to remove temporarily. Rest assured they will be based on their own socially distanced mat during this time.
We will ensure the mats are spaced out correctly to ensure social distancing, however if you don’t feel comfortable practicing in the studio knowing that some yogis may have their masks off at some stage – we kindly recommend continuing with our online classes for the time being.

As always, please stay at home and join our online studio classes if you are unwell, as our teachers will do the same.

FAQs

Will Kula continue to offer Online classes once studios reopen?

Yes, our Online Studio will still be available even when studios reopen, offering both LIVE streamed classes & an expanding library of over 400 recorded classes to choose from. If you do not feel comfortable returning to in studio classes you may choose to continue with your online studio membership. However, you also have the option of booking in for our in studio classes or practicing a combination of both.

What is the best membership option if I wish to practice in studio classes and have access to the Online Studio?

Our Kula Tribe Membership gives our access to both our Online Studio and In Studio classes and is our best value membership available. Click here for more information on Kula Tribe.

Where can I buy my own props?

Yes, there are a number of places you can purchase your own props. If you would like to replicate your Kula studio favourites, we source our bolsters from Calm Buddhi, our mats from Manduka and our blankets from Tranquil Tribe. Our friends at lululemon are more than happy to help, with stores conveniently located close to both studios in Camberwell & Brighton. Or may also wish to explore EMP Industrial who stock a number of different brands and are happy to deliver.

Will there be a maximum number of classes I can practice per week?

Initially we kindly ask that you limit your class bookings to 4 per week to ensure everyone has the opportunity to practice with current class number restrictions. We will let you know as soon as this changes.

Can I email to book in for a class?

Unfortunately bookings made by phone or email cannot be accepted as our system is automated for fairness to all students. Please make your bookings through your Mindy Body account or the Kula Yoga App – you can also cancel and change your bookings through your account also.

What happens if the class I want to book if full?

If the class you are wanting to book has reached capacity or is “full” you can opt to join the waitlist and we will notify you if a spot becomes available. No waitlist reservations will be confirmed with less than 12 hours notice.

If you have any further questions, please don’t hesitate to contact us at [email protected]
