I started practicing yoga because…
I wanted to get fit, and whilst I did, I also saw how much yoga was helping my overall health and mental wellbeing.
My favourite yoga pose is…
Vrksasana, or Tree Pose. I love both the grounding and the balancing aspect of this pose. I focus so hard on balancing in this pose that everything else melts away.
When I’m not on the mat, I’m…
Walking my dog by the beach, going to a movie, or reading a book.
What really lights me up is…
Travel. I love exploring new places and meeting new people who live life in a way that opens my mind to new ideas.
One thing the Kula community doesn’t know about me is…
I love chocolate, like REALLY love chocolate. When I was backpacking through Europe, I stopped in Brussels four times to stock up on pralines from your favourite shop.
At the moment I’m reading..
‘The Brain That Changes Itself’ by Norman Doidge. I find the brain and the advances being made in neuroplasticity endlessly fascinating.
My fav local hangout other than Kula is….
if I’m not spending time down by the beach, I love to catch a movie at the Classic Cinema in Elsternwick (their vegan popcorn in the best!)
