“Kula” is an ancient sanskrit term that means ‘community of the heart’. It is a group coming together of their own free will; an intentional clan, tribe or family.
Part of our Kula Tribe is connecting with the local community. Each month we engage with a different local business as a way of encouraging our members to get to know their local area. It also allows these local businesses to get to know our members.
Thanks for the amazing opportunity to collaborate with Acai Brothers Camberwell. The superfoods franchise opened recently at 891 Burke road Camberwell (opposite the train station). The location was extremely important – acaibrothers pride themselves on being a very communal based business, with a vibrant presence and in there eyes Burke road Camberwell ticked all the boxes….. it was also a place Marcus loved and always wanted to work and be apart of.
Acaibrothers Camberwell offers and array of delicious acai bowls, smoothies, juices, raw treats and coffee. The options are vegan based, gluten free and presented to stimulate your visuals and tantalise the taste buds.
The shop uses some of the latest and most advanced equipment to make the “prefect” acai bowls.
Both Sheli Ratcliff and Marcus Sampson have known each other for a number of years . Sheli came from an Accounting background, has an online bikini business that she co-runs with her daughter and enjoys road trips in her yellow campervan.
Marcus had established a fashion , hair and beauty salon in the eastern suburbs and had owned and operated it for over (10) years . His interests include a good session in the gym , taking care of his beloved dogs and off course acai bowls.

Monday to Friday 7am – 4pm
Saturday 8am to 3pm
Sunday 9am to 3pm
We are possibly looking at some late nights come Day light savings.

Kula Yoga has a beautiful hot yoga studio on Auburn Rd, Hawthorn, Melbourne. Kula offers ‘Hot Yoga’ classes for detoxification, dynamic power yoga ‘Flow Yoga’ as well as a gentle ‘Light Yin Yoga’ option. Beginners through to advanced students are welcome to all classes.
